Kuba Cloth - Red
This 4 metre long piece of vintage Kuba cloth is from the Ngeende branch of the Kuba people who are native to the Congo. Made from raffia palm fibre, using traditional patchwork appliqué, embroidery and natural plant dyes, featuring small palm fibre pom pom’s at edge. Traditionally the cloth is worn as ceremonial skirts, today they are collectible pieces of African textile. This piece looks beautiful at the end of the bed, over a sofa, hanging on the wall or framed.
Measures 60cm wide x 4 metres long.
